Purpose and scope

Kivawell publishes educational content about nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, menstrual health and everyday wellbeing. The goal is to help readers understand a measurement, prepare a useful question or make a low-risk routine decision. Our pages are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment and must not be presented as a replacement for a qualified health professional.

Health information deserves a higher standard because an error can affect real decisions. We therefore separate general education from individual care, include limitations beside calculations and use clear escalation language when symptoms, pregnancy, medication, eating disorders or medical conditions change the decision.

How topics and sources are selected

A topic must solve a distinct reader problem that fits Kivawell’s product and subject focus. We do not create a new page merely for every wording of the same search. Before publication, the page is mapped to the relevant calculator, related guides and the decision a reader should be able to make after reading it.

We prefer primary research, systematic reviews, recognised professional organisations and government health guidance. Sources are selected for direct relevance, not because they agree with a desired conclusion. Where evidence is uncertain or a formula is only a population estimate, the uncertainty is stated in the page itself.

Writing, automation and human responsibility

Research and drafting may use software and generative tools to organise information, compare terminology and prepare bilingual versions. Automation is never treated as a source. Claims must remain traceable to the references shown on the page, calculations must be independently checked, and the published result remains the responsibility of Kivawell Editorial.

English and Turkish pages are localised for meaning rather than produced by word-for-word substitution. Examples, units and safety language are reviewed in both versions. We do not invent professional credentials, patient experience, personal testing or medical review. If a page has been reviewed by a named qualified professional, that review will be stated specifically.

Updates, corrections and conflicts

Pages display their latest substantive review date. We revisit content when a cited guideline changes, a calculator method changes, an error is reported or the topic needs important context. A changed date should reflect real review or revision—not a cosmetic freshness signal.

If we identify a material error, we correct the page and any connected calculator or translation. Commercial goals do not change the interpretation of evidence. App download links are clearly separated from educational claims, and Kivawell does not sell placement inside editorial recommendations.

How readers should use the content

Use a calculator result as a starting estimate and compare it with repeatable real-world observations. Read the method and limitations, not only the headline number. For symptoms, sudden changes, severe restriction, pregnancy, a diagnosed condition or medication-related questions, seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

Readers can report a factual, translation or calculation problem through the support page. A useful correction includes the page address, the statement in question and a trustworthy source or reproducible calculation when available.
